As Monday nights go, last night was a busy one in Super League as three different clubs announced new signings for the 2027 season, but what is the official state of play across the board in terms of new recruits?
Whilst some sides have now confirmed as many as five new recruits for 2027, there are several who are yet to officially confirm any new signings.
Prior to Monday evening, St Helens had not confirmed any signings for 2027 but they made a splash as they announced the arrival of Catalans’ centre Solomona Faataape, even revealing that they had paid a fee to secure the deal.
Faataape had seemingly been on the radar of Hull FC, who were reported to be attempting a swap deal that saw Amir Bourouh head to the south of France, but as well as missing out on Faataape, they have also lost Davy Litten for 2027.
That’s because Wakefield announced that the Hull-born centre had signed a four-year deal at Trinity following a ‘substantial transfer fee’. Meanwhile, Warrington went and added two overseas forwards, taking the number of confirmed Super League signings for 2027 past the 20 mark.
We’ve gone club by club to pick out all the confirmed signings with all information correct at the time of writing.

Every confirmed signing for Super League 2027

Bradford Bulls – 3
The Bulls have impressed in 2026 but they could be even more impressive in 2027 having signed three big name players, none more so than former Bradford academy star John Bateman.
Bateman will return from the NRL to join his boyhood club as one of three signings, alongside centre Cam Scott and prop forward Sam Eseh Jr.
Castleford Tigers – 5
Castleford have signed more than most and if reports are to be believed, then they have others in the pipeline with Ben McNamara and Mason Lino both expected to sign, though neither are officially confirmed.
Of those who are confirmed, three hail from St George Illawarra Dragons with Damien Cook, Mat Feagai and Tyrell Sloan all locked in, as well as domestic recruits Robbie Mulhern and Alfie Johnson.
Catalans Dragons – 2
Whilst his own deal has not yet been publicly announced, John Cartwright will remain at Catalans in 2027 and he’s signed two players he’s familiar with from his time at Brisbane Broncos with Jesse Arthars and Tyson Gamble both locked in.
Huddersfield Giants – 1
The Giants have officially only signed one player but he’s a big one with Jim Lenihan bringing in one of his former players in Jaimin Jolliffe, a forward who will add experience to Huddersfield’s young pack.
Hull FC – 1
The Black and Whites have also signed just one player so far with Hull-born Bailey Hodgson signing on a two-year deal in a well-publicised move.
Hull KR – 0
The Robins have yet to announce any signings for 2027 but that doesn’t mean that they have not. Willie Peters will leave and Nathan Cayless will surely want to put some of his own players, even if it’s just one or two, into the squad.
Leeds Rhinos – 2
Director of rugby Ian Blease recently teased that another signing was close, however, Leeds have already recruited well with former Rhino Morgan Gannon returning, signing alongside NRL man Dylan Walker. With so many key outgoings, they’ll fancy more recruits, likely a prop, and it could be a case of watching this space.
Leigh Leopards – 0
Whilst Leigh have not confirmed any recruits for 2027 so far, they have made the mid-season signing of Lazarus Vaalepu and head coach Adrian Lam spoke recently to confirm that they may also sign another player before the deadline for 2026, which comes later this month.
St Helens – 1
Solomona Faataape became St Helens’ first official signing for 2027 but it’s unclear who he will be playing under. Nevertheless, he’s a strike centre who was shown value in both the NRL and Super League.
Toulouse Olympique – 0
Perhaps because they’re unsure of their future or perhaps because this is how they operate but Toulouse have not confirmed any signings for 2027, though they have made several mid-season including impressive prop John Toleafoa. They’ve also tied down the majority of their squad for long deals and managed to make loan signing Tiaki Chan into a permanent signing.
Wakefield Trinity – 5
Like their West Yorkshire rivals Castleford, Wakefield have also confirmed five new signings and they boast arguably the biggest name on this entire list with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck swapping the New Zealand Warriors for Wakefield.
He’ll be joined by fellow overseas players Emre Guler and Mason Teague, whilst domestic recruitment has seen them add Leeds’ Cameron Smith and Hull FC’s Davy Litten.
Warrington Wolves – 3
Wire added two more signings yesterday with prop pair Toby Crosby and Mitchell Prest signing two-year deals, however, they had landed Brodie Croft from Leeds Rhinos earlier in the year.
Wigan Warriors – 0
Matt Peet’s side rarely head to market with the Wigan way being promoting their homegrown talent and that may remain the case for 2027, with no official signings confirmed so far. They will however have 2026 signing Oliver Wilson fit in time for next year, fresh off the back of the injury that ruled him out for all of this season.
York Knights – 0
The Knights have yet to publicly announce any signings though it is understood that Matty English, who they have loaned in from Huddersfield Giants, has signed for 2027 on a permanent deal, with head coach Mark Applegarth recently even confirming that despite it being a season-ending injury, he’s eager to see English in a York shirt.
