England international handed three-match ban as London Broncos pair charged

The disciplinary round-up from the women’s Challenge Cup semi-finals as well as the latest round of the Championship and Reserves competitions have seen one England international banned and two London Broncos players charged.

No players were banned from the men’s Challenge Cup semi-finals with Hull KR’s James Batchelor the only man to be charged, however, there have been two charges from the women’s games, with one of those resulting in a ban.

Leeds Rhinos’ Grace Short copped a Grade B charge for striking which landed her three penalty points but it was York Valkyrie’s Rhiannon Marshall, a former England international, who was handed the bigger charge.

Marshall was charged with a Grade E offence of dangerous contact and has been banned for three matches, however, the ban will come into place after this weekend’s opening round of the women’s Super League.

The forward has been named in the Valkyrie squad to take on Huddersfield Giants today (Saturday) at 12:00 pm, with her ban set to come into place from round two onwards.
