The Super League regular season is finished and after a gruelling 27 rounds, only eleven players can be called ever-presents.
An ever-present is somewhat self-explanatory in that a player has been present, or played, in every one of the 27 rounds.
That can be as either a starter or from the bench with eight of the eleven players having started in all 27 games, whilst one of the ever-presents hasn’t started a single game, but has come off the bench in every round.
Leeds Rhinos’ Sam Lisone is the man in question with the powerful prop utilised as an impact player by Brad Arthur in all of the club’s 27 Super League games.
The Rhinos have two other ever-presents with both James McDonnell and Harry Newman playing every single game. Two other clubs have multiple ever-presents and those sides come from opposing ends of the Super League table, showcasing that it’s not just consistent team selections that boost results.
Eleventh-placed Castleford and third-placed Leigh both have two ever-presents with Daejarn Asi and George Lawler doing it for the Tigers, whilst Lachlan Lam and Isaac Liu have done it for the Leopards.
Super League’s top try-scorer Lewis Martin is another to have played every game, as well as Ashton Golding, Tristan Sailor and Kaide Ellis.
None of Catalans Dragons, Hull KR, Salford Red Devils, Wakefield Trinity and Warrington Wolves have an ever-present but several have players to make 26 appearances, with each club’s most-used player also noted below.
