Hull FC will be heading into their match with York Knights with a number of injury problems, including star full-back Will Pryce.
Pryce has been confirmed to have torn his ACL in the club’s round two defeat to Wigan Warriors. The Airlie Birds put on a sub-par performance, and their weekend was made even worse when their number one went down in agony.
The ex-Huddersfield man left the field towards the end of the game, and scan results have since shown that his 2026 campaign is over.
Pryce is one of many injuries currently at the club, whilst York also have some concerns of their own.
Ahead of the 21-man squads being announced tomorrow, we have taken a look at either roster and analysed the early team news ahead of Friday night’s clash.

Early Hull FC v York Knights team news
Alongside the aforementioned Pryce, who is obviously ruled out, John Cartwright also lost Joe Batchelor to a calf injury at the Brick Community Stadium.
Speaking to the press on Monday, the boss confirmed that Batchelor had been for a scan, but the club are yet to confirm the extent of the injury. However, Cartwright did say the back rower is in doubt for this weekend.
Alongside those two, Herman Ese’ese is still recovering from his injury picked up in August. The enforcer is looking to return in April.
John Asiata, Jake Arthur and James Bell are all doubts at this stage, with the trio looking to return to action following their respective knocks. Asiata has been out since August, whilst Bell is yet to feature in a competitive game for his new club.
Zak Hardaker has a chance of returning, after missing last week. The veteran could be the man to replace Pryce at full-back, with the ex-Leeds man having plenty of experience there.
For the Knights, they remain without Kieran Hudson, who is nursing a knee injury, whilst Ata Hingano and Jesse Dee are the clubs only other doubts at this stage.
The pair missed the defeat to Leeds, with Hingano picking up a training injuty and Dee suffering an injury in round one against Hull KR.
