Rugby League News: Connor’s club for 2023, Bradford’s Odsal bombshell, shock immediate Warrington departure & French deal

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Powell ‘talks’ with fans

Warrington Wolves head coach Daryl Powell revealed that he held ‘talks’ with disgruntled fans following the defeat to Castleford Tigers on Saturday. The Wolves went down 35-22, but were losing 27-0 at one stage. Read more here. Powell also blasted the ‘unacceptable’ result but felt Warrington should have won. Read more here.

Radford on Evalds and Blair

Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford revealed the lowdown on the horror blow sustained by fullback Niall Evalds.

Radford also had his say on the horror shot by Cheyse Blair which saw him red carded. Read more here.

Silverwood reflects

Former Super League referee Richard Silverwood has reflected on some of his issues faced in his career.

The Mirfield man took to Twitter to recall how he was treated in his 400th Super League appearance. Read more here.

Damning McGillvary news

Huddersfield Giants went down 25-0 to St Helens on Friday night after failing to score a point.

Lam on Wigan exit

Former Wigan Warriors boss Adrian Lam has revealed why it ended badly at the club after starting so well.

Lam was Wigan boss in 2020 and 2021, reaching the Grand Final in 2020 but languishing in 2021. Read more here.

French future

Wigan Warriors star Bevan French has revealed that his future will be made clear in the very near future, Rugby League Live reported. French broke the Super League record for tries in a game against Hull FC on Friday. Read more here.

Hull FC maverick Jake Connor’s club for 2023 has reportedly been confirmed, according to the Canberra Times.

Wakefield Trinity have released damning news on major star Tom Johnstone.

Hull FC miss two signings

Hull FC will NOT be making these two signings, according to Newcastle Herald journalist Barry Toohey.

Featherstone Rovers head coach Brian McDermott has been linked with a move away from the West Yorkshire club.

Love Island bosses have been accused of neglecting former Castleford Tigers boss Jacques O’Neill following his exit. O’Neill walked out of the villa last weekend and has since been spotted at a Super League ground. Read more here.

Hull FC’s Leeds Rhinos loanee Jack Walker was offered to a shock club, according to the York Press.

Salford Red Devils star Kallum Watkins has spoken to Serious About Rugby League about speculation that linked him with a Super League rival.
