It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Possible groundbreaking deal

The Sun has revealed that Channel 4 has been approached by another company in. SunSport revealed that the competition teamed up with commercial agency giants CSM before the Channel 4 coverage kicked in.

But now they have shown what they are selling on a bigger platform, at least one company has now made an approach and talks are ongoing.

Watts blow

Castleford Tigers travelled to Wigan Warriors last night, but they did so without one of their star forwards in Liam Watts.

Yellow card madness

Last night’s live Sky Sports game between Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers took a turn for the worse just before half-time when Mahe Fonua was sinbinned for a ‘late tackle’ on Jai Field.

Now, both Matt Peet and Lee Radford have had their say on the controversial incident.

Hull FC Challenge Cup tie

Hull FC’s Challenge Cup tie away at Sheffield Eagles has been given a new venue – and it may come as a surprise for some people!

The Sixth Round draw was made last Monday, though Hull’s clash with Sheffield will not be broadcast on TV. Read more on the venue here.

Fijian flyer makes UK move

A Fijian flyer has made the move to a UK club after waiting patiently for a chance at a professional club.

The winger has also played and served in the British Army which may make ears prick up! Read more on the move here.

SL blow

BBC Sport has reported that one Super League star has been dealt a devastating blow after it was revealed that he will play no part in the rest of the 2022 season.

The star has already had the surgery he needed but it is now a long recovery. Read more here.

Hull FC news

Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson has given the latest on the likes of Jamie Shaul, Josh Reynolds and Manu Ma’u, the Hull Daily Mail has revealed.

All three have had their fair share of injuries this season and in the past. Read more on the news here.

Agar’s updates and rule change

Leeds Rhinos head coach Richard Agar has given updates on a number of stars including Harry Newman, Richie Myler and Tom Holroyd. But there is one major piece news ahead of tonight’s game. Read more here.

Peats on SL move?

Former Leigh Centurions and Huddersfield Giants hooker Nathan Peats has told Serious About Rugby League about a potential Super League move.

Peats came to the UK shores ahead of the 2021 season, but spent little time at Leigh before moving to the Giants. Read more here.

Cas and Salford recruit

Castleford Tigers have brought in three more coaches whilst Salford Red Devils have snapped up four exciting signings.

Wire and Saints news

There looks like there will be big news for Warrington Wolves fans when they take on Wakefield Trinity tomorrow afternoon. Read more here.

St Helens, too, will have to do make do without four of their big stars against Toulouse tomorrow night, but head coach Kristian Woolf did give a major update to the St Helens Star on Regan Grace. Read more here.

David Fifita has told the Rugby League Review podcast just why he hasn’t left Wakefield Trinity yet.

Former Wakefield Trinity star Danny Kirmond and ex-Warrington Wolves man Ben Westwood now have rather wacky post-rugby league careers.
