North Wales Crusaders have announced the signing of former Wigan Warriors youngster, Tom Bridge, after he impressed the club’s bosses during a trial period.
Bridge, 19, came through the academy set-up at the Cherry and Whites, and was a Wigan St Judes junior growing up.
He was a prominent member of the academy side this year, after securing his first professional contract in 2024, and was a consistent player across the campaign.
After departing the Brick Community Stadium, he found himself at North Wales, and after a successful trial, will link up with the squad on a permanent basis
Bridge has already made his Crusaders debut, as Dean Muir’s side kicked off their 2026 preparations, defeating Swinton Lions in a pre-season friendly this weekend.
Commenting on his move to the Championship outfit, he said: “Really excited to be joining the North Wales Crusaders. Looking forward to learning from the experienced lads and giving everything for the team.”
Coach Muir added: “Really happy to sign Tom. He’s a quality young player who’s been in the Wigan system.
“As a player, he suits our systems. It’s an exciting time for him and I’m looking forward to see him develop.
“Tom showed up well against Swinton. His yardage carries are effective getting us a quick play the play. Defensively he looked sharp and able to defend at centre and on the wing.”
The Crusaders have two more pre-season matches in the diary, as they travel to Barrow Raiders later in December before hosting a youthful Wigan Warriors side one week before their Championship season kicks off.
