Championship side Halifax Panthers have announced the latest member of their 2026 squad, and he comes in the form of a young prop with Super League experience.
The Panthers, who reached the semi-final stage of the play-offs this season, are looking to continue their improvement, with part of their recruitment model being to bring in younger players and develop them at the club.
After confirming deals for former Warrington Wolves youngster Alfie Johnson and ex-Huddersfield Giants man Darius Carter, the West Yorkshire outfit have announced that another Wolves man will be joining the club, with Dan Okoro penning a one-year deal.
Nigerian international Okoro, who was contracted until the end of the 2027 season at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, spent the 2025 season on loan at Castleford Tigers, and made eight appearances at the Super League side.
Whilst he never made a senior appearance in primrose and blue, the Hull KR academy product has spent time at a range of clubs in his career.
Making his first senior appearance at Hunslet, he has also represented Bradford Bulls, Newcastle Thunder, Swinton Lions and London Broncos.
Racking up 38 appearances for club and country so far, the 22-year-old will be hoping for regular game time at his new club as he continues his development.
