Following the conclusion of the weekend’s matches, the Challenge Cup Third Round draw is now set, and Super League clubs have learned their opponents.
Some clubs, such as Hull KR, Warrington Wolves and Hull FC already knew their opponents, following the results from Saturday’s second round ties. But now, all 13 top division sides are in the know as to who they will face in a fortnight’s time.
The Third Round will be played on the weekend of February 6-8, and all bar Toulouse Olympique will enter at this stage.
The first tie to be confirmed was that involving the Champions KR, who will play amateur side Lock Lane, following the Castleford-based side receiving a bye in round two.
They were supposed to take on Featherstone Rovers, but their absence from the competition meant that Lock Lane received a win by default and a free pass through to the final 32.
Saturday saw wins for six Championship sides, including Salford RLFC, who defeated Hammersmith Hills Hoists 42-10 in the late kick-off.
Sheffield Eagles were victorious in front of the BBC Sport cameras, as they defeated Whitehaven, whilst Barrow Raiders and Hunslet also progressed.
Keighley Cougars and Swinton Lions were also winners, as they defeated amateur sides Heworth and Ince Rose Bridge respectively.
Sunday saw 12 ties take place, as London Broncos, Oldham and Halifax Panthers, among others were in action.
There is still one tie left to play, with Midlands Hurricanes taking on Aberavon Fighting Irish in a late kick-off, though we already know who they will face following Keighley’s win on Saturday.

I can only hope that any later rounds, are at least close.
Apart from gaining some cash, there is very little to shout about.
What a difference in skill & ability – it reflects badly on the sport – SORRY!
