The team news for the 2025 men’s Challenge Cup Final has been confirmed with Warrington Wolves and Hull KR confirming their squad selections.
Heading into Wembley week the talk was around whether George Williams would play with the Warrington Wolves captain rushing back from surgery on his ankle.
Willie Peters claimed that Hull KR knew all along Williams would play, labelling the talk about Williams as ‘theatre’ but he’s introduced some theatre of his own with the talk that Micky McIlorum would be named to the squad.
McIlorum was set for 12 weeks on the sidelines with a ruptured bicep that he suffered just eight weeks ago but Peters confirmed that the veteran was a chance of playing, however, he did not train at the captain’s run on Friday.
The team news for both Warrington Wolves and Hull KR has now been confirmed ahead of today’s Challenge Cup Final, with a decision made on Micky McIlorum.
