Hull KR talisman Mikey Lewis tops the Lance Todd Trophy betting for the Challenge Cup Final with every player’s odds revealed.
The Lance Todd Trophy is handed to the Man of the Match for the Challenge Cup Final with recent winners including Bevan French and Lachlan Lam, so it’s no surprise to see playmaker Lewis the favourite in the market.
Hull KR are red hot favourites for the final with match sponsors Betfred making them 3/10 favourites, with Warrington a massive 3/1 – the biggest price since Castleford Tigers in 2021 (also 3/1).
In fact, Warrington Wolves were the last team to win at odds of 3/1 or more, doing so in the 2019 final when they faced St Helens and Sam Burgess’ side will take confidence from that.
Daryl Clark, who was playing for Warrington won it that day, with him and Chris McQueen (2022) the only forwards to win it since Jeff Lima did in 2011.
Understandably, that means backs top the market and with Hull KR red hot favourites, it’s Hull KR who dominate the top of the betting with eight of the top eleven representing the Robins.
Despite that, Wire’s trio of George Williams, Marc Sneyd and Matt Dufty are 7/1, 7/1 and 8/1 respectively, shorter odds than any Hull KR player outside of Mikey Lewis. Sneyd could become just the second player to win the award three times, after Sean Long (2001, 2004, 2006).
Jack Broadbent, who will shift to full-back, is 10/1 and fifth-favourite along with quarter-final hero Jez Litten. The next Warrington players in the betting are Toby King and Sam Powell at 25/1.
Potential big value plays include Kelepi Tanginoa (40/1) and Dean Hadley (40/1) with both expected to play long-minutes in the second row as James Batchelor shifts to the centres.
All four of those with odds longer than 100/1 are Warrington players with overseas signing Dan Russell among those at 125/1.
