Catalans Dragons have confirmed the arrival of a mid-season signing just days after Ryan Sheridan questioned the resilience of his side.
Sheridan pulled no punches in his post-match assessment after Leigh defeated Les Dracs in Perpignan, with the interim head coach left calling for ‘resilience’ from his players as he suggested that changes could be coming.
“We need some troops, we need some players, we need some players back,” the interim said, adding: “We need to pick a team that’s going to be far more resilient, especially in regards to defence and when we’re under pressure.
“That’s the main starting point for me, is to get the right players out on the field. Then from there, we can work on from there but obviously, there’s a fair bit to work on.”
His calls have now been answered with Catalans announcing the signing of versatile forward Adrian Delarose, an 18-year-old who has already debuted in the top tiers of the French game.

Catalans Dragons add versatile forward on six-month deal
Delarose has signed a deal until the end of the 2026 campaign and has already joined his new teammates, partaking in training sessions as Les Dracs prepare for their round 11 Super League clash away to Wakefield Trinity.
A club statement confirmed: “The club is pleased to announce the signing of Adrian Delarose until the end of the 2026 season.
“At 18 years old, this versatile player, developed in Limoux, can play in every position in the pack.
“A promising young talent who has already made his debut in the Super XIII, he took part in his first training session with the Dragons.”
It will be interesting to see if Delarose is used or if the club view him as a longer-term project, in which case they’ll clearly need to tie him down to a longer contract.
He’s one of several young French talents that Catalans have on their books with others including outside backs Leo Darrelatour and Lenny Marc, whilst Alexis Lis has played in the forward pack already this season.
