Castleford Tigers v Wakefield Trinity lineups confirmed as Daryl Powell makes two changes

Castleford Tigers host Wakefield Trinity tonight in a West Yorkshire derby. Here are the confirmed lineups for tonight’s clash.

Castleford have announced some impressive signings in recent weeks, with the likes of Mikaele Ravalawa and Semi Valemei joining the ranks in 2026. They still have three games to go before the end of the season, as Chris Chester looks to build some combinations ahead of next season.

The sixth and final playoff spot is Wakefield’s to lose. Hull FC  defeat to Leeds Rhinos last week allowed Trinity to steal the playoff position and now simply need to keep winning to retain the place. You would expect them to do so here tonight, following a brilliant display over Huddersfield Giants last weekend.

Captain Sam Wood returns after missing the last two. The centre hasn’t been seen since the defeat to Leeds Rhinos, after which Chris Chester called out some of his key men for not showing enough effort.

Alfie Lindsey drops out of the squad after his first two Super League starts. The winger scored a try on debut away at Catalans, and retained his place last week against Leigh Leopards. However, he is replaced this week by Will Tate, an off-contract outside back determined to prove he is worthy of a new deal.

Joe Stimson and George Lawler return to their natural positions of front row, after the injury to Tom Amone sees the Hull KR-bound forward out for the remainder of the season. George Griffin replaces Muizz Mustapha on the bench

Despite an impressive, two-try performance over the Giants last week, Matty Russell drops out of the squad in favour of Lachlan Walmsley.

Isaiah Vagana’s season is over following an injury he picked up last week. The 25-year-old is replaced by Josh Griffin, who returns after missing last week’s win.

Caius Faatili returns to his usual position of the bench, with Mathieu Cozza joining the starting lineup.

There is still no Max Jowitt for Daryl Powell’s men, with Josh Rourke retaining his place at full back.
