Castleford Tigers will be without their captain Sam Wood for this afternoon’s clash with Leeds Rhinos at Wheldon Road. Danny McGuire’s side will be looking to build on last week’s win over Salford Red Devils and continue their rise up the Super League table when they take on the in-form Rhinos this afternoon.
They currently sit in 10th and whatever the result today, that won’t change. However, with Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves four points above them, the Tigers will have them in their sights.
Sam Wood’s absence will come as something of a blow, though, with the centre absent from the line-up. Louis Senior is the man to come into the side at centre and he’ll play alongside his brother on the edge.
Former Leeds man Brad Singleton steps into the starting XIII in what is the only change to the starting pack. Muizz Mustapha drops to the bench, while Dan Okoro is the other man to step into the fold this week.
Brad Arthur has kept changes to a minimum this week, with the back five and spine remaining unchanged. However, Keenan Palasia is replaced in the starting line-up by Cooper Jenkins, who missed last week’s game with Hull FC.
Palasia drops to the bench and James Bentley is the unfortunate man to be left out of the 17 altogether having been named as the 18th man.
