Castleford Tigers v Hull KR line-ups predicted with star man set to return for Robins

Hull KR

Castleford Tigers will be riding the crest of a wave after claiming their biggest scalp of the season so far last week. The Tigers pulled off one of the shocks of the competition so far as they beat play-off contenders Hull FC at the MKM Stadium and they’ll be feeling confident as they prepare for the visit of league leaders Hull KR.

Rovers have lost just one game all season and travel to West Yorkshire on the back of putting 68 points on Catalans Dragons last time out. As such, the Tigers will have their work cut out and that’s something Danny McGuire will be more than aware of.

Things look like they’re starting to come together for the Tigers, though, and having pushed KR close in round one, they won’t be short of belief.

For McGuire, it’s fair to say this week’s selection looks to be a fairly straightforward, with the head coach able to follow the ‘if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it’ mantra.

That means Zac Cini stays at full-back in place of the injured Tex Hoy, Louis Senior keeps his spot at centre and Chris Atkin remains at loose-forward after being named there against the Black and Whites.

There’s a decision to be made on the bench, but former Robin Dan Okoro’s size and strength might just be key when it comes to handling the Robins in the latter stages.

Joe Burgess looks set to return for Willie Peters if he’s given the green light to do so. The winger missed the win over Catalans but has been named in the fold for this week and if he’s fit, he’ll play.

Expect that to be the only change in the Rovers starting XIII, but there could be changes on the bench, with Sam Luckley set to be brought back into the fold following his one-match injury lay-off.
