Bradford Bulls have made a splash with their first signing for 2027 with the West Yorkshire club announcing that they have recruited Wigan Warriors’ Sam Eseh on a three-year deal.
Eseh was one of several players off-contract at Wigan Warriors and Bradford have moved quickly to sign the 22-year-old for the 2027 campaign.
After re-signing key players such as Caleb Aekins, Joe Mellor and Connor Wynne, Bradford have now dipped their toe in the recruitment market and signing a player of Eseh’s calibre to a three-year deal is a substantial move that highlights the intent of the Bulls.
After debuting in Super League aged 19 for Wakefield Trinity, Eseh has gone on to make 30 appearances in the top flight across loan spells at Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos, as well as for his current club Wigan Warriors.
To date, Eseh has played 15 times already this season though he did not feature at Wembley in their Challenge Cup win.

Bradford Bulls sign Sam Eseh for 2027
Speaking on his move, Eseh said: “I’m very excited, having spoken to Jason and Kurt about the direction the club is going in and seeing how passionate they were with their vision of the club, I feel like it’s the right time and the right challenge for me. I am excited for what’s ahead.
“They [Bradford] have shown that they’re a team that are here to compete in Super League, here to stay in the Super League and hopefully get up to the top of the table and compete.
“I like the way Kurt plays, he’s a great coach and I think the way Bradford play will suit me a lot.”
As well as a playstyle that be believes will suit him, Eseh also spoke about the impact of signing a three-year deal with the Bulls clearly putting a lot of faith in the prop.
He explained: “The three-year deal is good, every step in my career has shaped me to the player that I am now. I’m thankful to Wigan and I have nothing but respect and great memories of the club and hope to make even more memories as the year passes by, but I am very excited to join Bradford. The club has a passionate fan base and I cannot wait to perform for them.”
