Bradford Bulls have not won away from home in Super League in 2026 and Kurt Haggerty has admitted that statistic is keeping him ‘awake at night’, with Sunday’s clash against Warrington Wolves a chance to put the record right.
Despite winning four games from six at Odsal, the Bulls are winless on the road in Super League and when previewing the game against Warrington it’s something that the Bradford coach admitted was a major frustration.
He admitted: “That’s my biggest frustration at the moment, that we’ve not won on the road and away from Odsal, so that is one of my big frustrations.
“That’s driving me every week when we’re away from home. We have to have that belief to go to big clubs in particular and believe that we can win there, so that’s fuelling me at the moment. It’s also keeping me awake at night.”
It’s not simply fuelling Haggerty but also the playing group as he added: “I think they sense my frustration, they sense where we want to go to and we have to win these games on the road to be taken seriously. It was always about respect and that won’t change. To earn respect, we’ve got to win on the road as well.”
As for his side’s chances of breaking their away hoodoo this weekend, he declared: “Without a shadow of a doubt, we’re prepared to win, we present to win and yeah, we’re prepared to win the game.”

Why Bradford Bulls could have an away advantage despite poor record
Whilst Bradford of course are very well-supported at Odsal, their dominance on that famously narrow pitch doesn’t necessarily make sense given the expansive style of rugby that Haggerty has coached the Bulls to play.
Theoretically, they would fare better at away grounds with Bradford’s by far the narrowest pitch in Super League and their head coach admitted that away grounds suiting their playstyle has been addressed.
He explained: “We can go a little bit bigger on our detail in regards to our shape on shape and our movement so yeah, in theory it should help us more and it’s no different this week.
“We’ll plan to move the ball and play our style and also with being direct within them shape so yeah, it’s something we have spoken about.”
With key man Jayden Nikorima back, the Bulls can play a lot more expansive but they will be without their wide man Ethan Ryan after the winger failed a HIA last week in the win over Hull FC.
