It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Promote Fev and Leigh

Serious About Rugby League broached the possible idea that Featherstone Rovers and Leigh Centurions could both be promoted.

Of course, Toulouse Olympique would be exempt from relegation, leaving Super League at 14 teams for 2023. Read more here.

It follows the news that the Black and Whites halfback was reportedly Hull’s highest-ever paid player, the publication has claimed.

Wigan man to leave?

Warrington aren’t the only ones to be set for exits with Wigan Warriors linked with one departure.

Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield has given a huge admission from his new role.

Hull FC halfback Luke Gale has spoken to Proper Sport about former Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill.

Williams for move?

The Australian journalist The Mole has revealed that former Canberra Raiders halfback Sam Williams is set to move to Super League.

Field and Williams

Whilst Jai Field withdrew from the England vs All Stars game at the weekend due to a hamstring issue, George Williams was given a number of raps for his performance.

Field is expected to be fit for this weekend’s Super League fixtures, with Williams clearly enjoying his break from club rugby league.

Walmsley could have signed for Wire

Current St Helens prop Alex Walmsley has told the St Helens Star that he almost signed for a Super League rival.

That club was the Warrington Wolves according to the paper but studying for a degree in Quantity Surveyor stopped that happening at the time.

Fev lose big forward

Featherstone Rovers head coach Brian McDermott is putting his stamp on the West Yorkshire club as a big forward has departed.

Lafai future

Salford Red Devils have triggered the one-year option on star Tim Lafai’s contract after a great first year in Super League.

That’s according to League Express which revealed just how highly the club think of him.

Castleford rejected

Serious About Rugby League has revealed that Castleford Tigers were rejected for a move by a Super League star.

Powell explains on Magoulias and Charnley

Warringon Wolves head coach Daryl Powell has given the latest on why Josh Charnley and Billy Magoulias will not be at their club in 2023.

Powell spoke to the Warrington Guardian about not keeping on Magoulias past 2022 anyway but didn’t address the elephant in the room with Charnley.

Leigh have the ‘best player’

According to leading rugby league agent Craig Harrison of Show Me The Money UK, Leigh Centurions have the best player in the country in their team.

Walters future

Leeds Rhinos’ rangy back-rower Sam Walters has spoken to Leeds Live about his future.

Walters said: “I’d have to sit down with my agent and see what he’s thinking and what I’m thinking at the time – and obviously what Rohan thinks,” the 21-year-old former Widnes Vikings prospect told Rugby League Live. “But I do like playing under Rohan and I think he’s going to be good for my career. You also have all the bonuses of playing at Leeds – the best atmosphere, the best stadium and I think we can build something special here over the next couple of seasons.”

Hurrell rejected

St Helens’ Konrad Hurrell has a new club locked in for 2023 after enjoying a great season in Merseryside this year.
