London Broncos landed a home tie after the quarter-final draw for the 1895 Cup was made, shortly after Jason Demetriou’s side were one of eight teams to progress from the round of 16.
The Broncos saw off Keighley Cougars in a 62-6 win with the capital club one of four clubs to post 50 points or more this weekend.
Widnes Vikings won 50-10 on the road against Dewsbury Rams whilst Doncaster RLFC put in a clinical performance to win 64-0 against Salford RLFC. Oldham were the highest-scorers of the round in what was by far the highest-scoring game of the round as the Roughyeds won 72-24 in an action-packed game.
Goole Vikings were also big winners, beating Whitehaven 40-10 in a repeat of last week’s league fixture that went the way of the Cumbrian side.
Rochdale Hornets landed the upset of the round as they beat Sheffield Eagles 32-18, whilst Newcastle Thunder saw off Batley Bulldogs with a 34-14 win.
North Wales Crusaders forfeited their game against Midlands Hurricanes meaning Mark Dunning’s side automatically progressed to the quarter-finals, where they landed an away tie against Oldham.
London will host Doncaster in a clash of two of the high-flyers this season. Rochdale have drawn Goole whilst Widnes will take on Newcastle Thunder.
