Last year Leeds Rhinos defied the odds to make it to the Grand Final.

They went from a relegation scrap to Old Trafford after a terrific turn around under new coach Rohan Smith.

However, the honeymoon period appears over at Headingley with the Rhinos again in a sticky spot as we pass the halfway point in the season.

When asked if the Rhinos can get to the Grand Final again in 2023, Kevin Brown said on BBC Five Live.

“I don’t think so. The coach has been in there a while now and for whatever reason it just looks like they’re not together.

“It looks like they’re playing as individuals, it looks like whenever there’s a bit of adversity they’re quick to get on each other’s backs.

“If they are going to make a grand final, it’s probably going to be even better than last year, the back end of the year.”

Meanwhile, BBC’s Dave Woods claimed that rugby league is broken if Leeds get to the Grand Final in 2023: “Yeah, Rugby League’s broken. If Leeds make a Grand Final this year, I’ve got to say Rugby League is broken. Because we can’t have this every year.”
