After completing a treble in 2025, last week Hull KR won their fourth trophy in 12 months, after clinching the World Club Challenge.
Defeating Brisbane Broncos 30-24, the Robins have dominated the Super League, Challenge Cup, and have now overcome the NRL Premiers to cement themselves as one of the summer era’s best ever sides.
Becoming only the fifth side in Super League to win the treble, Willie Peters men have more than earned the right to be labelled as one of the greatest of the modern era, but where do they rank amongst the elite?
The likes of Leeds Rhinos’ golden generation, the St Helens squad of 2019-2022 and a number of other teams will all be competing for the moniker of “best ever”, and whilst KR will be in the conversation, rugby league fans think there is one key factor holding them back.
We asked Serious About Rugby League viewers where the Robins rank amongst the greatest in Super League, and the majority were all on the same wavelength.

Is the current Hull KR squad amongst the best in Super League history?
Mark Chatwin:Â Wigan, Saints, Leeds and Bradford all built legacies by being at the top and winning things for a long time so Rovers are miles behind. Cant take away what they’ve done in the last 2 seasons but they’re nowhere near them 4 for achievements.
Andrew Funnell:Â As a Hull FC fan I applaud Rovers from where they have come from and have achieved since that million pound game. Even from before then. They’ve rebuilt and yes they’ve cemented their place in the history books and deservedly so. However, to be classed as one of the greatest super league teams they will need to now build on this success, they need to successfully defend the titles. Much like the likes of Wigan, Saints and Leeds have.
Ulric Von Beck: As a Saint…this KR team are up there with the best
Phil Lowthian: They are top dogs at the moment. How long they sustain that will determine where they eventually sit. In terms of the Super League era. At the moment they are quite some way behind St Helens and Wigan with Leeds a close third and Bradford behind in 4th.
David Kelly:Â They won the right to be involved in that conversation. Thats all they can do. The rest are opinions. Pull up a seat to table and let others debate.
Mike Jones: Let’s see how they get on this season and the next 4 or 5 seasons then ask the question again
George Silvester:Â I remember standing in the crowd in 2016 watching the Salford drop goal relegating us. This was the signal for the re-birth of the club, ten years later we have a solid management team, been to Wembley twice, Grand final twice, winning the treble and now the World Cup challenge, continual improvements to our own ground. We still have a bit to do to rival the records of one or two clubs. As a supporter my feet are firmly on the ground and we just need to build on our success ask me in another five years.
Russell Keane:Â Have to agree with other comments on here that they rank below the Rhinos, wigan, saints and bulls as these teams are multiple champions, rovers only won one title, but they played well first half against aussies.
