Rugby League fans have reacted to the latest reported piece of transfer business that Hull FC have overseen ahead of the 2026 season.
Serious About Rugby League reported over the weekend that the Black and Whites are making a move for ex-Huddersfield Giants man Will Pryce following his somewhat frustrating time Down Under.
Pryce signed for Newcastle Knights ahead of the 2024 season but has been limited in his NRL appearances, primarily playing in the New South Wales Cup where he has gone well but it’s expected that he’ll be returning to Super League.
Hull FC boss John Cartwright has already reportedly made four signings for 2026 and Pryce could be the fifth.
He would be the first back added to the Hull squad for next season, following forwards Joe Batchelor, James Bell, Connor Bailey and Harvie Hill all reported to be making the move for 2026.
Here’s the best reaction from Hull FC and rugby league fans from our Facebook page and across social media.
Rugby League fans disagree over latest Hull FC transfer news
Roger Waudby: Sadly has failed to make an impact in the NRL despite early promise. Shows the difference between the two competitions.
Debbie Anne: Good for Hull FC. Great to see the improvement this season from the dismal previous few seasons, hope it continues.
Shirley Laverack: Will has not made a good impression in Australia but maybe he’s not good enough for that. I think he will be in Super League. If we are signing him, he will be a great asset as he shone before he went to Australia.
Nigel Halmshaw: Great signing, he’ll be better for his experience in Australia and will come back bigger stronger and faster, Hull FC are building a really good side.
Callum Smith: Struggled in NRL but let’s be honest, most backs do. Will be a great addition and a player with something to prove and a great skill set. The redevelopment continues.
Paul Laverack: Went to Oz too early, could be a really good signing but reminds me of Connor, a maverick. Hope he fulfils his potential, we definitely need some backs.
Wayne Holiday: At 22 years old, he is still progressing and developing and has the potential to be a valuable asset.
