Rugby league fans have reacted online as to whether they think a new name will be etched on to the Grand Final trophy in October.
Super League has only seen four different teams win at Old Trafford, with St Helens having nine wins to their name. Leeds Rhinos have eight, Wigan have seven and Bradford Bulls have three.
However, with the success of Hull KR and Leigh Leopards this season, now is as good a time as any that we could see a new first-time winner.
There have been plenty of challengers, with Warrington Wolves being the side to reach the Grand Final the most times and fail to win. The most recent of their four attempts was 2018.
Catalans Dragons (2021, 2023), Hull FC (2006), Castleford Tigers (2017), Salford Red Devils (2019) and Hull KR (2024) have all reached Old Trafford but didn’t manage to take the trophy home with them.
