Rugby League fans all say the same thing about new Hull KR kit

Hull KR have launched their three shirts for the 2025 season and the most recent release has certainly got fans talking.

The Robins are coming off their best-ever Super League season and the impressive nature of both the 2023 and 2024 campaigns has seen a hike in the club’s fan base.

They regularly recorded home sell-outs in 2024 and will have a temporary 1,000-seater stand in place for the 2025 season with the plan being that if they consistently fill that, they will move to make a permanent addition for 2026.

With an increase in fan base comes extra potential revenue and shirt sales are one of the biggest avenues for that. As such, it pays dividends to make sure your shirts are instant classics with the fans.

Having already released their home shirt, which is predominately white with a red sash, and away shirt, purple featuring Venn diagram designs in honour of Hull-born John Venn, the club has now launched their other alternate shirt.

It’s a navy strip, similar to this recent season, but instead of light blue trim the club has opted for red in what they’re branding as their ‘Navy Twist alternate shirt’. Fans have now had their say.

One of the leading comments regarding the shirt was the resemblance it bore to the 2024 home shirt worn by French football giants Paris Saint-Germain.

LUFC1108 posted: “PSG Of Rugby League, fair play HKR, looks really nice.”

Another X user, @JoeWS , shared the post with an attached image of the PSG shirt and a raised eyebrows emoji whilst @lotrek1985 turned it into a meme format.

Whilst several were quick to point that resemblance out in response to the club’s post on X, a large majority of fans seemed to love it.

@RalphDaveralph replied: “I was only in the club shop this morning and it looks like I’ll be back tomorrow.”

Among the reposts were comments such as: “One of the best shirts I’ve ever laid eyes on,” from @katyrichardsonx

Whilst @hkr_sam posted: “Ding Ding Ding – we have a winner.”

It wasn’t just Hull KR fans who were in love with the shirt as one response showcased. @RugbyLambo responded: “That’s one super smart kit (Broncos fan).”
