Rugby league fans have chosen their best prop in Super League so far this season and looking at the stats, there can be only one name.
Hull FC’s Herman Ese’ese has started the 2025 in superb fashion, scoring three tries in the league and making 37 tackle busts, averaging at just over six per game.
With 98 carries making 735 metres, that’s an average of 7.5 metres gained per carry on top of four clean breaks.
His fifteen offloads make him joint-top of the stats alongside Catalans Dragons’ Tevita Pangai Jr.
He’s also helped the Black and Whites out in defence, making 168 tackles.
In his debut season with Hull FC last year, Ese’ese picked up both the Playersā Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards at the club and looks to be continuing in fine form in 2025 so far.
He’s also been rewarded with a contract extension, keeping him at the Airlie Birds until the end of the 2029 season, much to the delight of Hull FC fans.
Rugby League and Hull FC fans alike agree that right now, he’s the best prop in Super League.
