Rugby league agent reveals the pressure on Hull FC and Warrington Wolves

It’s been a difficult season in Super League for a number of sides so far in 2022, but perhaps none come close to the hardships of Warrington Wolves.

Having won just five of their opening 15 fixtures, the Wolves sit outside the play-offs and just six points in front of bottom-placed Toulouse Olympique.

Along that journey, head coach Daryl Powell has been up against it with the pressure from supporters epitomised by the hefty booing at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington’s second to last home game against Leeds Rhinos.

Warrington lost that fixture 40-4 with Powell looking for a huge rebuild for 2023 and beyond.

Whilst the Wolves were able to overcome Hull FC, 4-0, last weekend in one of just two try-less Super League games in history, there was still a very tense atmosphere at the Halliwell Jones

But, leading rugby league agent Craig Harrison – of Show Me The Money UK – believes that Warrington are not the only Super League side to be under pressure from supporters to perform.

“The two clubs which I think have the most pressure on at the moment are Hull and Warrington,” Harrison said on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.

“They seem to be the pressure cooker jobs and if you said to me which players feel the pressure most in Super League I would guarantee that it’s Hull and Warrington – it is red hot.”

Whilst the Wolves have lost ten games, Hull FC sit fifth having won eight and lost eight games.
