Rugby league has been in a whirlwind the past couple of weeks.
From Richard Agar’s departure at Leeds Rhinos, to Tony Smith’s confirmed exit from Hull KR, the rugby league wheel has been swiftly turning.
However, for leading rugby league player agent, Show Me The Money UK, Smith’s departure from Craven Park is a bizarre one – with no other Super League job to go to currently.
“There’s no job for Tony to go to,” Harrison said on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.
“The Leeds job has been taken by his nephew and the word at St Helens is Woolfy (Kristian Woolf) is staying.
“Matty Peet has a five-year deal at Wigan, Daryl Powell has a long-term deal and he’s not going to go to Salford.”
Harrison also believes that Richard Agar will not go back to Leeds despite being confirmed he would take a different role at Headingley following his exit as head coach.
“I don’t think Tony is going there (to Leeds) and I think Rich (Richard Agar) won’t go back.
“I can’t see it – there’s too much water under the bridge and I think Rohan will want to go in there and clean it up and have a different number two.
“I know Rohan a bit – we had a chat at Bradford, he reminded me of a schoolteacher, but he had a little bit of steel.”
