Being described as one of the best signings in Super League history is one of the biggest personal accolades a person can be given.
To be able to be given the honour of such praise has fallen on Wakefield Trinity’s rampaging forward David Fifita.
His agent, Craig Harrison of Show Me The Money UK, recently did an interview with the ‘Big Bopper’ where he lavished praise on the former Cronulla man.
“You’ve come all the way here and I think you have been the best overseas signing ever. I am biased but I genuinely do think that,” Harrison said on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.
“No offence to Wakey, but you haven’t come and gone to St Helens or Leeds Rhinos, you’ve gone to Wakey and been in a franchise and it’s been exciting.
“Your charisma and play – for example, two years ago when no one could touch you with those 50-yard breaks.
“I don’t think you’ve had the praise you deserve because of certain whispers and that’s why we do things like this interview.
“Two years ago we were sitting with offers from other clubs, but you had such a loyalty to the people of Wakey and I think you feel at home there.”
Fifita added: “I’ve just had a great career there, we’ve had the same core of the group like Jacob Miller and Bill Tupou.”
