Rochdale sign ex-Huddersfield, Halifax and Toronto hooker

Rochdale have completed the signing of experienced hooker Sean Penkywicz for the 2020 season.

The 37-year-old arrives at the club with a wealth of experience, having made over 350 appearances in a career that has spanned 18 years and included five clubs.

He made his debut for Halifax in 2000, scoring 96 tries in 222 games, before switching to Huddersfield in 2004.

He then returned for a second spell with ‘Fax, before going on to also play for Leigh, Toronto and, most recently, Workington.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge,” he told the Hornets’ website. “To work with Matt Calland again was a major draw. Having worked with him before, I know he’ll be working hard to put out a competitive team.”
