Robins continue march back to Super League

Hull KR continued their perfect record in the Qualifiers with a tough 30-18 victory against Featherstone at the LD Nutrition Stadium.

It’s another box ticked for Tim Sheens’ side who look set for an immediate return to the top flight after the heartbreak of relegation 12 months ago.

Despite Featherstone taking the lead through Kryan Johnson, tries from Ryan Shaw, Danny Addy and Jamie Ellis helped put the Robins in control with an 18-6 advantage at the break.

Frankie Mariano grabbed the first try of the second half to give the hosts a chance, however they failed to build on this and tries from Thomas Minns and Andrew Hefernan put the result beyond doubt.

Johnson scored his second try for John Duffy’s men late on but it wasn’t enough, with KR taking another step closer to Super League status in 2018.
