Rob Burrow has been fighting Motor Neurone Disease for nearly four years now.
The Leeds Rhinos legend was diagnosed in December 2019 and he has been an inspiration with the way that he has battled the disease and raised awareness for others.
He said from the beginning that it’s not been about him but the people who get the disease who don’t have the same support network around them as he does.
He has been truly amazing as has his wife Lindsey, their children and the likes of Kevin Sinfield.
However, Burrow and his family have consistently felt let down by the government’s delays when it comes to funding in the fight against MND.
Now Burrow’s father Geoff has taken to social media to again slam the government and call for action.

He said: “I am absolutely sick of the government’s delay tactics for MND funding.
“AND PLEASE GOVERNMENT MINISTERS DO NOT INSULT ME WITH EXCUSES AND YOUR STATISTICS – just ACT now to save lives.”
He went on to add a commonly used quote: “MND is not incurable, it’s under funded”.
Hopefully we will start to see more funding for MND in the near future.
