Rob Burrow has waded into the debate following Hull KR’s 19-0 win over Warrington Wolves in the Super League play-offs last night.
The Robins pulled off one of the greatest shocks in Super League history as they kept fourth-place Warrington scoreless at home, delivering a masterclass in gamesmanship in the process.
Led by Jordan Abdull and Mikey Lewis – a duo that is slowly forging a reputation for being one of the most exciting in the top flight – Rovers withstood an early onslaught to then gradually grind down their opponents to set up an exciting clash with Catalans Dragons next Thursday night for a chance to get to Old Trafford.
And, Burrow hailed Smith in the aftermath of the victory: “Tony Smith is the best coach. He has achieved success where ever he has coached. Always improving players, always has a team playing for him . That is what coaching is all about!”
