There has been speculation doing the rounds in the past few weeks that Leeds Rhinos’ powerhouse centre Konrad Hurrell could be leaving Headingley.

One move that has been gathering pace is Hurrell to St Helens, with Saints facing the departure of Kevin Naiqama – though they have signed Will Hopoate to mitigate that loss.

However, Rhinos boss Richard Agar has declared that a decision will be made very soon, but that he is hopeful that Hurrell will stay at the club.

“There’s no real update to be honest,” Agar said.

“There won’t be anything announced just yet that he will be staying here or going – the offers are out there.

“It’s for Koni to decide what offer fits him best at this point in his career in a contract and a playing opportunity perspective.

“We will see, but I’m pretty confident we will get a resolution shortly.”

Leeds are in action against Wigan tomorrow night in a bid to reach the top six play-offs.
