Rhyse Martin future update

Rhyse Martin is set to sign a new deal at Leeds Rhinos.

Martin has become one of Leeds’ most consistent stars, with a deadly boot to match having registered 165 goals in 43 games since signing for the West Yorkshire club towards the back end of the 2019 Super League season.

Rhinos head coach Richard Agar spoke to the press yesterday, knowing that out-of-contract stars will have their futures sorted very soon.

“It’s all going on behind the scenes – we’re pretty comfortable we know where everyone is at,” Agar stated.

“There’s a couple of little ones we’ve still got to do and we know where we go from here – there’s a couple of either/ors, but we’re quite happy with how our squad is shaping up.”

Agar, however, doesn’t know when the news will be released.

“We have to respect that this news comes out when it has to come out.

“It’s not for me to reveal the paperwork and there’s different ends that need tying up, so it’s not my place to say.”
