Rhinos 6/1 for shock win at Saints

Friday Night Rugby comes from the Totally Wicked Stadium , where Leeds are the visitors .

This game is massive for both clubs , albeit for different reasons , as 3 wins in a row for London has put Leeds back in real trouble . 2 wins in a row , against Wakefield and London , had seen the Rhinos move away from the bottom of the table but a poor loss to Wigan last week has put them level on points with Hull KR at the bottom of  Super League . Saints will be looking to avoid another shock loss , after losing in London 2 weeks ago .

Contrast that to Saints who sit 6 points clear at the top , having only lost 2 games all season . The bookies make Justin Holbrook’s side very short at around 1/9 to win this with Leeds around 6/1 . It’s hard to argue a case for the Rhinos but they do get an 18 point start on the handicap and I think they can stay inside that . Whilst I fully expect the league leaders , who were impressive in beating Huddersfield last week , to win this I do think Leeds can put up a better showing than the odds suggest . Leeds travelled to Saints early in the season and nearly managed to win the game and I think they can make Saints work for their win . A home win of around 11-15 points is about where I see this , leaving Leeds still joint bottom of the league .

Punters looking for value could do worse than Scarsbrook to score a try anytime , he’s 9/2 with League sponsors Betfred , Hurrell is also surely overpriced at 15/8 .

As for man of the match , the market is loaded with players in the Red V as you’d expect . The highly impressive Lachlan Coote is favourite at 11/2 with Lomax around 6/1 . It’s a hard one to call , with Saints missing Roby , but Makinson at 20/1 looks too big for me . As for Leeds you could see Sky giving a sentimental vote to Watkins if they pull off a shock , or even get close , so he’d be my pick at 33/1 ahead of Dwyer at half that price .
