The RFL have announced they will be conducting a full review of the tour when the Great Britain Lions return.
It has been a disastrous tour from the Lions, as they had lost all four of their matches, including this morning against Papua New Guinea.
Amongst the several groans of discontent amongst the fans, the RFL released this statement:
“Like everyone involved on the tour, we are obviously bitterly disappointed by the results of the Test Matches – for those loyal and passionate supporters who have followed the team in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, and for everyone backing the team from home.
“As stated last week, an objective review of all aspects of the tour will take place when the tour party returns and that timetable has not altered.”
The next confirmed internationals now will be the 2020 Ashes Series, where England welcome Australia for a three match series.
