Revealed: Which Super League side has sold the most tickets for Magic Weekend

The Magic Weekend will always be an innovative and brilliant concept that almost everyone can get behind.

Hosted in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle, the concept has found its home in the Toon at St James’ Park.

With the centre basically a 100 metre walk from the iconic stadium, fans have been able to flock to the city and enjoy some great weekends in the North East.

And, following the hiatus from the Magic Weekend due to Covid-19, supporters have been even more enthusiastic about making the trip up to the land of Ant and Dec, ready to watch six enthralling games of rugby league.

Of course, fans are always to keen to know which set of supporters have sold the most tickets and it perhaps doesn’t come as a surprise to many when the following is revealed.

Live on Sky Sports on Friday night as Castleford Tigers put Huddersfield Giants to the sword at the Jungle, Sky pundit Jenna Brooks revealed just which Super League club has sold the most tickets so far.

“Hull FC have sold the most ticket with Hull KR following close behind,” Jenna Brooks said.

The Hull derby is always one of the most watched and anticipated clashes of the whole event, with the fixture perhaps having even more importance in 2022 as both teams fight it out for the last two elusive play-off spots.

With the Hull derby normally selling the most tickets for the Magic Weekend, that fixture has been given the status of the crowning game on Sunday night, with Wakefield Trinity and Toulouse Olympique kicking things off on Saturday afternoon.

Fixtures in full:

Saturday 9 July

Wakefield Trinity v Toulouse Olympique (14:30)
St Helens v Wigan Warriors (16:45)

Sunday 10 July
