It was reported earlier this week that the Super League fixture to take place next year in Las Vegas would be between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves and there is now further information on that.
The NRL took two games to Las Vegas to launch their season this year with the event being such a success that they will return in 2025, however, they’re now set to take a Super League game with Wigan Warriors taking on Warrington Wolves in a repeat of the 2024 Challenge Cup Final.
It’s now been revealed when it will take place by Sky Sports‘ Jenna Brooks who spoke ahead of Warrington’s clash with Huddersfield Giants.
The Australian revealed: “I just want to end on Vegas, because it’s been on our mind, hasn’t it, ever since the NRL launched their season at the start of this year.
“Well, I can tell you, maybe get those passports out and dust them off, because I am anticipating a confirmation early next week that Round 3 of Super League between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves will take place in Las Vegas.
“As will the England Women who take on the world champions Australia.”

It had been confirmed earlier in the week that England Women would take on World Champions Australia but the revelation that Wigan Warriors will face Warrington in Round Three of Super League is a huge boost for fans.
There had been talks that a Super League game would head to Las Vegas with Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves the reported teams but there are also questions of whether Super League needs to be heading to America, and if it should instead focus on securing and improving the product back home before going abroad.
Regardless of that, it’s been reported by those down under and Brian Carney of Sky Sports that approximately 5,000 English fans were in attendance in Las Vegas for the games in early March this year.
That had been pin-pointed by the NRL as a strategy to help further ticket sales and more adequately fill the Allegiant Stadium after recording an attendance of just over 40,000 this year.
Speaking on SEN Radio, journalist David Riccio explained: “One of the key points for that was just the amount of English fans on the ground in Vegas this year. The NRL have noticed that, they’ve got the numbers on that, and they believe that putting a spotlight on the English game, putting them on also in Las Vegas would be a major positive for the game.”
Serious About Rugby League had contacted the RFL who explained: “The possibility of UK involvement in Las Vegas is one of a number of areas we have been discussing positively with the NRL in recent months.”
It now seems to be all but confirmed officially with Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves set to face off in Super League Round Three on the other side of the Atlantic.

More important than playing a game in the USA, is Sacking IMG! Just Hope The NRL will take over Super League, Yes, then play a game in the USA.because we know The NRL will make a good job of it, and very professionally. The NRL must id the take-over Super League, retain few senior staff, we need a Fresh Start, before Rugby League loses the plot completely!
