The Match Review Panel have had their look at the action from Round 18 of the Betfred Super League season with Wigan Warriors, Salford Red Devils, St Helens, Catalans Dragons and Wakefield Trinity players all landing themselves in hot water.
The only ban of the week goes to Oliver Partington of Salford for dangerous contact against Leeds Rhinos.
Meanwhile, Brad O’Neill, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Paul Seguier and Jai Whitbread are all fined.
It was a hectic weekend and perhaps the best game of the weekend was the clash between Warrington Wolves and St Helens which had its fiery moments.
As you would expect with these two teams there was some added spice and fire between the two rivals and we saw one interesting incident as Gil Dudson appeared to rest his knee on the face of Morgan Knowles late in the game.
It was an incident Terry O’Connor slammed as “stupid” and showing “a lack of composure” and Dudson got a dressing down from official Jack Smith.
On Sky you could hear the official say: “You need to be very careful where you are putting pressure with your legs when the tackle is complete.”
As Dudson argued back, Smith said: “That’s it. Just go.”
Dudson escaped any punishment from the Match Review Panel but was cited for other contrary behaviour with the panel stating:
“Player traps opponent with knee preventing a quick play the ball.”
