Revealed: Super League club only trained once this week

There has been some huge games scheduled for this week with Warrington Wolves and Hull FC locking horns, Wigan Warriors heading over to France for a huge game at the top and Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants meeting in a huge.

On Friday night, Castleford Tigers met St Helens, Wakefield Trinity collided with Salford Red Devils and in a rematch of the Challenge Cup Final between Leigh Leopards and Hull KR.

Both sides have had to manage a return to the league after differing experiences at Wembley.

Interestingly, as Leigh manage their players minutes with a small squad it was revealed on Sky Sports that Leigh only trained once ahead of the game and that didn’t work with George King laying down an early marker with a huge carry.

This laid down a real marker for the Robins who caused an awful lot of damage with some top notch rugby league from a much more balanced Hull KR side.

After a really strong start, Hull KR probed the line and as Brad Schneider moved across the pitch before a short ball and a great angled run allowed Shaun Kenny-Dowall to carve through and score.

After a yellow card against Leigh at Wembley which resulted in a ban, Minchella meant business as he powered over after good work from Matt Parcell.

A great player saw Mikey Lewis generate space and Ryan Hall danced down the touch line before a forward roll over the line saw him touch down.

Jack Walker was having a superb game for the Robins in a rare appearance and he linked up in a sweeping play to feed Louis Senior to score who produced a scruffy finish.

After an error from Tom Briscoe after a high kick, Lewis was on hand to take the bouncing ball and score in the corner.

In the second half Mikey Lewis ducked and darted his way over for a second try.

Leigh did get a try back via Josh Charnley in the corner but fellow member of the 200 try club cancelled that out at the other end with Ryan Hall powering over in the corner.
