REVEALED: NRL’s top 10 rich list

Manly half-back Daly Cherry-Evans is currently the highest paid player in world rugby league.

The 30-year-old earns a whopping $1.3 million a season and as part of his contract that runs until 2023, every time the salary cap goes up so does Daly’s salary.

Next on the list is modern day great Cameron Smith who still takes home $1.1 million despite turning 36 earlier this month.

New Zealand Warriors’ full-back Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is third, with Cooper Cronk and Sam Burgess making up the top five.

When slammin’ Sam returned from rugby union in 2015 he was the highest paid player in the game.

Four years on he remains among the highest earners after signing a new deal with the Rabbitohs until 2023.

The rest of the top 10 are made up by household NRL names, with Gold Coast half-back Ash Taylor perhaps the most surprising name to feature.
