Former NRL star Jeremy Latimore has said he would like a boxing match with one of Super League’s biggest stars in 2023.

This comes as he appeared on James Graham’s podcast and during the podcast Latimore was asked if there were teammates he didn’t like and he named one of Warrington Wolves’ star signings in the shape of Paul Vaughan who has been sensational since making the move to Super League.

In fact, he has perhaps been the league’s best player in 2023.

Latimore explained when asked about teammates he didn’t like that, though he hasn’t got anything against the prop, he would love to get in the boxing ring with the Warrington star.

He also suggested that Warrington teammate Matt Dufty should tussle with former Wolf and now Castleford Tigers halfback Gareth Widdop.

Latimore said: “There’s been one or two across the years but it’s funny you ask this because one of mine and your ex-teammates, Paul Vaughan.

“At the end of last year I made a joke to Zac Lomax saying ‘why don’t you get in the ring with Tyson Frizell and I’ll have a crack with Vaughany.’

“He went and told Vaughany and he’s messaged me on Instagram saying ‘when are we jumping in the ring?’

“We don’t follow each other on Instagram, we don’t send each other Christmas cards so I’m like ‘next off-season’

“We got along okay but I’d love to get in the ring with him and have a crack.

“What do you reckon, we’ll throw Matt Dufty and Gareth (Widdop) on the undercard?”

When asked by Graham if he was serious, he said: “If he’s keen to have a crack.”
