Reserves Round-Up: Dropped stars feature and star signing back from injury

Reserves rugby entered its second round on Friday night as Leeds Rhinos thrashed Castleford Tigers with Jack Sinfield stealing the show with two tries as well as a lovely assist for Kai Morgan.

Meanwhile new signing Luke Hooley featured in a Leeds short for the first time since surgery at fullback.

Speaking of fullbacks, Jamie Shaul featured at fullback for Hull FC as they beat Bradford Bulls Reserves 62-12.

Dropped winger Darnell McIntosh started at centre with Davy Litten starting on the wing for the first team against St Helens.

Kane Evans also started at prop as future Huddersfield Giants man George Flanagan Jr started at fullback for the Bulls.

Manoa Wacokecoke was the star man with four tries. Evans helped himself to a try too,

Hull KR meanwhile played out a draw as Ethan Ryan featured on the wing and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e started at fullback.

Promising youngsters William Tate and Jack Potter also featured whilst Luis Johnson and Zack Fishwick brought some Super League experience against a Warrington Wolves side which was very young but still able to secure a draw.

It was a game the Robins could have won had they kicked one goal. Ryan got on the scoresheet as did PLT to secure a draw late on.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield gave minutes to Innes Senior, new signings from Wigan Warriors Sam Halsall and Jack Bibby, Adam O’Brien, Nathan Mason, Harvey Livett, and Owen Trout.

They lost to a young Wigan Warriors side who did have the likes of Abbas Miski, Logan Astley, Brad O’Neill and Roman Silva featuring for them.
