Leeds Rhinos are in a rebuilding phase as they look to reach the heights again of the Golden Generation under Rohan Smith.
The Leeds boss has been fairly cryptic when it comes to recruitment but it is clear Leeds will only go in for players they really want and will not put obstacles in the way of their up and coming stars.
Smith even said that in some ways their recruitment for 2024 has been done with the club trusting their young players to make a real difference when it comes to their squad moving forward.
That said, Leeds have naturally been active when it comes to recruitment for 2024.
They have already signed Mickael Goudemand from Catalans Dragons for next year and have been linked with a wide number of transfer targets for next year.
The Rhinos missed out on Lachlan Fitzgibbon who has ended up going to Warrington Wolves next year.
Leeds were also linked with halfbacks Luke Brooks from the Wests Tigers and Tyrone Roberts with it becoming more and more likely that at least one of Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer will leave the club at the end of the year.
In a surprise twist they have also been linked with former Huddersfield Giants hooker Danny Levi.
The Samoan hooker left Huddersfield for Canberra Raiders at the end of last year despite having time left on his deal.
That said the Rhinos and Hull FC were linked with the hooker but new reports have linked Levi with signing a new deal at Canberra for 2024.
Leeds have also been linked with a number of fullbacks with one plan thought to be moving Richie Myler to the halves and signing a new fullback with Daine Laurie linked with a move and Leeds Live reporting that the club were interested in Lachlan Miller from Newcastle Knights.
However, the chances of Leeds signing Miller have seemingly gone up in smoke with Newcastle Herald journalist Barry Toohey saying “Miller is not going to England” on social media.
This seems to suggest that Miller will not be wearing blue and amber in 2024 but will again be wearing red and blue.
