Refereeing appointments for Super League Round One as Chris Kendall gets big gig

The officials for the first Round of Super League clashes have been confirmed.

It is Liam Moore who gets to take charge of the first game of the season between Warrington and Leeds.

Jack Smith is the video referee before he takes charge of Leigh vs Salford on Friday.

Tom Grant will also be in action on Friday for Wakefield vs Catalans.

Turning attention back to Leigh, it is a swap with Liam Moore taking his turn as the video official.

On Saturday, Chris Kendall will be the man in the middle for the big game on Channel 4 between Hull KR and Wigan whilst Marcus Griffiths is in charge of the clash between Hull FC and Castleford.

Griffiths showed the first red card of the season two weeks ago when he sent Josh McGuire off in Ben Currie’s testimonial.

Now he and Tom Amone are set for a tribunal with a big ban facing both.
