Red Devils still linked with NRL bad boy

Salford Red Devils are still in the hunt for Jackson Hastings, following the halfback’s departure from Manly Sea Eagles.

After reports of a fight between Hastings and Sea Eagles captain Daly Cherry-Evans, the former was left playing reserve grade rugby before parting ways with Manly.

Now Hastings is on the look-out for his next career move and Super League looks to be where he is heading, with Huddersfield first interested in the ex-Sydney Rooster and then Salford.

With three rounds of Super League remaining, the Red Devils are 11th in the table and five points adrift of eighth-placed Huddersfield Giants.

Salford have been mightily close to relegation via the Qualifiers before and to avoid a repeat, Ian Watson is on the lookout for reinforcements but will Hastings be the man to guide them to safety?
