Red Devils favourites to reach semi finals

Salford and Wakefield kick off the Challenge Cup Quarter Final weekend in front of the Sky Cameras at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Both sides have had fantastic seasons so far as they sit in the top 5 of Super League although both lost home games last week.

Flanagan comes in for the Red Devils whilst Kirmond and Reece Lyne are back for Trinity but powerhouse foward David Fifita misses out.

These 2 sides met in Super League a fortnight ago with Wakefield coming out on top but Super League sponsors Betfred make Salford 4/9 favourites to win this,  they have though lost their last 2 games, both at home. Last weekend they were badly beaten by Hull FC but the bookies just favour them over Wakefield.
Their defeat to Leeds last week was the 1st in 6 for Wakefield, who have won at Wigan, Salford and Widnes in recent weeks.
David Fifita has been a key part of Wakefields success this year though  and his absence could be just what tips the scales Salfords way. For all Wakefield have won here recently home advantage can be key in cup games and I think the Red Devils can just get home in what should be an entertaining game.
The 15/8 for Wakefield will appeal to many given their recent form but the loss of Fifita is a real blow as the injuries mount up for Chris Chester .
As ever in cup games it can be safer to take the shorter to qualify price in case the game goes to extra time and  in what could be a tight game 9/2 is decent value for a penalty to be 1st scoring play.

Trinity get a 6 point start on the handicap, which is about right, and I think the Red Devils can win this by around 6-10 points.

Jones Bishop, Caton Brown and Evalds head 1st try lists at around 10/1 but Kris Welham at 14/1 would be my choice.

Finally the man of the match, Murdoch-Masila has been the star of the Red Devils campaign this year for me and he is too big at 18/1 and I just favour him over 10/1 Gareth O’brien, as for Trinity the returning Kirmond is a real contender at 12/1 but Liam Finns kicking could be crucial so I just favour him at 9/1.

Featherstone visit Leeds tomorrow as always please gamble responsibly.
