Analysis
There is plenty of reason for optimism at Salford this coming season. They are coming in off the back of a fantastic season, where they reached the Grand Final.
However, their main playmaker will not be at the club next season, as Jackson Hastings made the move to Wigan Warriors for the 2020 season.
They have brought in some experienced halfbacks though to plug the gap as Chris Atkin comes in from Hull KR and Kevin Brown comes in from Warrington Wolves.
Another departure to Wigan is winger Jake Bibby, who they have replaced with Rhys Williams. Williams was ever-present for a London Broncos side that shook up the Super League in 2019, scoring 13 tries.
The space left by Josh Jones will be a big one as well, but they certainly have a bulked out forward line, so a replacement will be in there somewhere.
Overall, this could well be a transitional season for Salford. Between the players they have lost and who they have brought in, it may take some time for them to click together.
