Rangi Chase finds new club

Rangi Chase will now be a Rochdale Hornets player after signing for the ambitious club from West Wales Raiders.

The 35-year-old halfback had been touted to sign for Bradford, but Rochdale have got their man after a relentless pursuit.

Chase made his name in the UK with Castleford after moving in 2009 before winning the Man of Steel in 2011. Spells at Salford, Leigh, Castleford again and Widnes followed, but he was handed a two-year suspension after testing positive for cocaine.

A move to Doncaster in 2019 saw the Kiwi relaunch his Rugby League career, but he’s now found a home in Lancashire following a desire to find a club nearer his children.
