Huddersfield Giants Director Ralph Rimmer has revealed when the club hope to make an announcement on their next head coach.
After sacking Luke Robinson in mid-March, the Giants are still without a permanent boss with Liam Finn taking interim charge for the past two matches.
In that time, he has guided the clubs to two wins from two, and has made his feelings very clear that he has an ambition to be a Super League boss at some point in his career.
However, he revealed earlier this week that he has had no formal conversations with the club’s higher-ups regarding a potential full-time role.
Rimmer, who is a former CEO of the RFL, has been appointed as the club’s ‘Director for Change’, as they look to improve a number of different aspects both on and off the field.
In an interview with Sky Sports prior to the club’s home game against Leeds Rhinos, Rimmer gave an update regarding where they are at in appointing a new boss.

One man who has just become available is John Cartwright, after he stepped down from his duties as first-team boss at Hull FC.
Rimmer suggested that the 60-year-old could potentially be one of a few names on the club’s shortlist of candidates.
He said: “He could be, absolutely. He’s a highly credible candidate.
“I mean, everybody gives him a good rap, but luckily we’ve managed to conjure up a list of highly credible candidates, I’m very pleased to say.
“It’s not unreasonable to think he would come under consideration, but there’s one or two more names on that list that might be of interest as well.”
Rimmer remained tight-lipped on who those names on the shortlist were, but did reveal when they expect to make an announcement.
He said: “Ideally in the next two or three weeks. It’s really important that we get the right person.
“We’ve worked hard to put that list together. We did a very particular piece of content when Luke [Robinson] departed the club because we wanted to demonstrate to everybody out there the kind of journey that the club was on. I think that’s played a part in generating that interesting list.”
